Every single feature we build is meant to contribute to the economy system.
Ampersand is a hyper-focused economy bot with no straggling features like modding, feeds, or soundboards. Everything is intended to tie-in to the economy one way or another.
/daily, /weekly, and /monthly commands.dice and coinflip can be used to gamble your currency against the bank. We'll be adding more games as we update Ampersand!The Shop features a beautiful paginated interface that allows you to browse and purchase items. The Shop also allows for setting a stock limit on items, making items available for a limited amount of time, and setting items on discount. By default, you are only allowed to list 8 items in your shop. This limitation can be removed with Ampersand Premium.
Each item can have an icon, emoji, and description assigned to them. You can limit the ownership of items or allow members to purchase and own an unlimited amount of them. Some items can add or remove member roles. Not all items need to be added to a shop – they can exist without being listed in the shop.
Members are able to gift items they've purchased to other members. For the time being, this is a one-way transaction, but trading items for Ampers or other items is coming soon!
Members can pay other members Ampers in exchange for items gifted or for any other reason.
When purchasing an item from the shop – and if the admin has refunds enabled – members can return their items for a set percentage of the original purchase price. This refund percentage can be set by the admin as well. If an item was purchased at a discount, the refund takes this into account.
Members can view the Ampers they have in their wallet, as well as the items they have in their backpack. While anyone can check anyone else's wallets, the backpacks are completely private. Backpacks use a custom paginated interface to make it easy to browse.
Admins can control a large variety of settings, from the shop and items, to the role & channel permissions, to the bot's banking, gaming, taxation, and reward settings.
Admins can limit Ampersand's functionality to certain roles or channels. Attempting to command Ampersand from channels or with roles that are not allowed, will lead to a warning from Ampersand.
All members can easily view the amount of Ampers currently stored in the bank. Any purchases made at the shop, as well as the daily tax charges collected, contribute directly to the server's bank.
Taxes are collected everyday, at midnight EST, from all members. Admins can set the tax percentage. Taxes are only collected on Ampers stored in each member's wallets, not the net value of their items. Admins can force the day's tax collection to occur sooner by using the /tax command.
With Ampersand Premium, Admins can set up to five tax brackets based on member wealth. Each bracket can have its own percentage and maximums based on a range. This range only takes into consideration the amount of Ampers in a member's wallet, not the net value of the items in their backpack.
With Ampersand Premium, Admins can set a different emoji to represent Ampers. By default, we use the 🪙 emoji.
With Ampersand Premium, members can apply for loans if they wish to make large purchases or trades. Admins can define the interest percentage, the re-payment deadline and cadence (daily, weekly, monthly), the consequences for late payments (increased interest, blocked shop, loan banning, item re-possession, or muting), and whether or not a role is assigned to those with loans. Re-payments are taken automatically from members who borrow based on the established deadline and cadence.
Debt is a Premium setting that can be enabled by Admins. When disabled, member wallets can not go below 0. When members are in debt (either due to automated loan re-payments, taxation, or gambling), members are given the option to take out a loan or sell their items. Taxes are skipped for members with a negative Ampers balance, but a daily fee set by Admins can be accumulated until they are able to pay taxes again.
Members can bet a certain amount of Ampers and choose a number between 1 and 6 (inclusive). If the result of the roll of the die is equal to the number selected, their bet is multiplied by a percentage set by Admins. Otherwise, they lose all the Ampers they bet.
Similar to the dice game, members simply pick heads or tails, along with an amount of Ampers to bet, and then flip a coin. If the coin lands on the side they picked, their bet is multiplied by a percentage set by Admins. Otherwise, they lose all the Ampers they bet.
Members can get a recap of all their earnings and spendings over the past 24 hours.
Members can view a complete list of all the activity they've logged throughout the day, including gifting, purchasing, earning, spending, gambling, taxation, and more.
Members can use the /daily command to earn a random amount of Ampers once every 24 hours. The minimum and maximum range of Ampers that can be earned is set by Admins.
Similar to the daily reward, this reward can only be performed once every seven days and, ideally, would earn you an amount of Ampers from a much higher range than the daily one. This range is also set by Admins.
Similar to the daily and weekly rewards, this reward can only be performed once every thirty days and, ideally, would earn you an amount of Ampers from a an even higher range than the daily and weekly ones. This range is also set by Admins.
With Ampersand Premium, if your bank hits zero or below and you are unable to keep up with member earnings, you can request a bailout from the global bank. This will take Ampers out of the global bank and into your server's bank for a small fixed interest fee. This is similar to a loan and your server will have a limited amount of time to pay this amount back to the global bank with the interest.
Ampersand can be fully managed within Discord, all with magical forms! No clunky, web-based dashboards for you to log in to just to change a setting!
